No pull cords, No warm-up, No emissions. That is what today's world needs from all of the tools that we use for any job imaginable. However it's not always easy to find these types of tools or vehicles out there at affordable prices, and that actually output decent performance levels. If we could all afford to drive a Tesla maybe there would be no more gasoline powered cars roaming around anymore.

As important as those features are it does not however come a equipped with an automatic oiling system like many of the tools in its class. This allows the owner to not completely feel hopeless about the products care. That is not a weight you want to carry over your head for a long period of time. Also losing the cords and the gasoline come at a price as we all know batteries for as long lasting as they can be don’t last forever. The Oregon Cordless 40V Max PS250-A6 Pole Saw will give you a good two hours to work with on one charge of the battery, but then you are probably going to need to wait. Unless you are so in love with the product that you buy and pre charge multiple batteries. It has been reported the chain can come loose at times, but it is not that hard of a fix. In any case chain replacements are actually not that expensive for this model. 

Final Verdict

I went through the review without mentioning the elephant in the room. It is one of the most expensive electric pole saws virtually on the market. To be fair it is trying to compete toe to toe with many professional grade gas powered products, so this tool is thought up more for the professional than the average joe. That being said the battery aspect can really affect a professional as you need to get many more hours of work in a day. Of course that can be solved by buying more batteries.

The interesting part here is that the replacements for this product like batteries or chains are really not that expensive. So it’s like buying to similar cars, and one just happens to have cheaper spare parts in general. Also in performance to be completely honest it may not be as consistent as a gas powered pole saw however it includes features that you can really take advantage. Like its noise reducing quality. This makes it perfect for people who want to do home landscaping without rattling everyone else in the house up. Still being able to have a product that also performance at a decent level and really lets you maximize your free time.
